CUCKOO APPOINTS MALAYSIA’S SWEETHEART, DATO’ SRI SITI NURHALIZA AND
INTERNATIONAL SUPERSTAR, RAIN AS 2020 CUCKOO AMBASSADORS
KUALA LUMPUR, 5 JANUARY 2020 – CUCKOO Malaysia took the opportunity to introduce Rain Jung Ji Hoon, the Korean Wave (Hallyu) Star as a 2020 CUCKOO Brand Ambassador in addition to Malaysia’s sweetheart, Dato’ Sri Siti Nurhaliza who was announced to be one of the 2 new CUCKOO Brand Ambassadors at an event held by CUCKOO in November 2019.
Dato’ Sri Siti Nurhaliza’s Profile
Born in Kampung Awah, Pahang, Dato’ Sri Siti Nurhaliza Binti Tarudin made her singing debut on a local competition show at the tender age of 16. Since then, she has been the recipient of over 300 local and international awards. Her image as an idol and inspiration to Malaysian musical artistes perfectly symbolises CUCKOO’s ‘Beyond Standards’ service. Throughout her 24-year career, Dato’ Sri Siti Nurhaliza has involved herself in several charity-related events, including concerts, open houses and launching her own charity fund, SIMPLYSITI Di Hati. Group CEO of CUCKOO International, Mr KC Hoe has stated that the singer’s charismatic charm and philanthropic character are the reasons she was chosen to represent CUCKOO’s 2020 theme – #SAMASAMA.

Rain began performing in his teens as a rapper and decided to pursue a solo music career where he released his first album, Bad Guy, in 2002. With a commanding stage presence and extravagant concert performances, he quickly topped the South Korean pop charts. He then starred in several Korean television series such as Full House and even appeared in Hollywood movies, making a mark as an international superstar.
As a public figure who has been in the spotlight for many years, Rain has proven that his star power has captivated fans beyond borders, heightening the spirit of togetherness – a vision that is prioritised by CUCKOO as a brand that wishes to provide Healthy Home for everyone.
