KUALA LUMPUR, 10 JULY 2019 – CUCKOO Malaysia, leading home appliance brand has officiated its collaboration with Pahang Rangers FC as an official sponsor for the sports team.

The officiation was witnessed by over a thousand members of CUCKOO’s Natural Care Service Team at the ‘Be Bold, Be Victorious’ event held at Putrajaya International Convention Centre (PICC) on Wednesday night. The event was graced by the presence of YAM Tengku Arif Temenggong Pahang, Tengku Fahad Mua’adzam ibni Almarhum Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah Al-Musta’in Billah who was invited to the stage for a ceremonious signing of the official jersey alongside CEO Mr KC Hoe.

This collaboration is envisioned to be a platform for the 2 organisations to discover and support homegrown talents in the local sports industry. With the shared philosophy of being Beyond Standards, both teams strive to be the best in each of their own industry. Thus, CUCKOO will be giving full support to Pahang Rangers FC as they will be competing to bring home the Malaysia Premier Futsal League (MPFL) trophy.

The CUCKOO sports initiative will be part of a several other projects that have been slated to be launched in 2020.

After the ceremony, the star-studded event continued with its programme which included guests CUCKOO Friends, Hetty Sarlene and Nabil Ahmad. Hetty Sarlene performed 3 songs; Rindu Aku Rindu as well as her rendition of Journey’s Don’t Stop Believing and Whitney Houston’s Greatest Love of All while Nabil humoured the audience with his showmanship.

Pahang Rangers FC is a collaboration between Kuantan Rangers and Pahang FA that consists of 4 coaches and 26 players where 9 of them are national players.

The club is also a platform for its members who are made up of 75% underprivileged Pahang boys who share the dream to champion and promote futsal in the local sports industry.

Not only that, with the goal to win the first season of Malaysia Professional Futsal League, Pahang Rangers FC is an organisation that is determined to take on the sports industry and to become a winner of the Asian Champions League in the next 5 years.
