A supporter for the arts, CUCKOO sees great potential in the vibrant Malaysian arts industry to thrive and flourish further. With the hope to uncover impeccable hidden talents, CUCKOO has kickstarted the CUCKOO Creative Arts Foundation or ‘CCAF’ in 2019 to foster a sustainable arts community.

Back for the second year, CUCKOO, through CCAF will continue to empower the arts community across all art disciplines through funding grants. Available for grabs from April till December 2020, the funding grants will continue to support the aspirations of the local arts community.

CUCKOO Creative Arts Foundation (CCAF) supports all art disciplines.

CCAF Funding Grant Eligibility

  • Applicant must be a citizen of Malaysia and based in Malaysia.
  • Multiple projects can be submitted, but only one will be selected for the year.
  • Projects submitted must be original works.
  • Projects must be completed within 6 to 12 months.
  • Projects submitted must be made available to public for viewing and experience once finalised.
  • CUCKOO and CCAF brand name and logo must be included in all all project promotional collaterals.
  • Applicant must first gather 10% fund of the amount requested.
  • Copyright of the proposal submitted belongs to the applicant.

  • A scanned copy of applicant’s Identification Card (IC).
  • Past experience(s) and supporting material(s) (i.e.: news coverages, videos, etc.).
  • Project proposal. As a guide, the proposal submitted should have:
    • Project background (background information, vision, objective(s), and inspiration)
    • Project timeline
    • Promotional strategies
    • Budget outline and funding amount required
    • Contact details
    • Posters (if any)
    • Videos (if any)
    • Other information deemed necessary to understand the project better.
  • Proposal may be submitted in English, Bahasa Malaysia or Chinese. A brief explanatory note in English is compulsory for submission(s) made in Bahasa Malaysia or Chinese.

Company or Organisation

  • Company / Organisation profile
  • A scanned copy of company / organisation registration certifications from the Companies Commission of Malaysia (SSM) / Registrar of Societies (ROS).
  • Past experience(s) and supporting material(s) (i.e.: news coverages, videos, etc.).
  • Project proposal. As a guide, the proposal submitted should have:
    • Organisation’s background
    • Project background (background information, vision, objective(s), and inspiration)
    • Project timeline
    • Promotional strategies
    • Budget outline and funding amount required
    • Contact details
    • Posters (if any)
    • Videos (if any)
  • Proposal may be submitted in English, Bahasa Malaysia or Chinese. A brief explanatory note in English is compulsory for submission(s) made in Bahasa Malaysia or Chinese

  • Educational Profile (Name, short description and class / faculty / department).
  • Educational institution’s endorsement letter and/or approval form.

    • Budget outline and funding amount required
    • Posters (if any)
    • Videos (if any)
    • Other information deemed necessary to understand the project better.
